Linda Ravin Lodding
Offical Biography (this is serious stuff...)
Linda is the author of The Busy Life of Ernestine Buckmeister (Flashlight Press, NY, illustrated by Suzanne Beaky) and Hold That Thought, Milton (Gullane Children's Book, London, illustrated by Ross Collins). Both books represent her debut in picture books and are due out in 2011.
Linda is originally from New York but has been based in Europe for the past fifteen years. Her writing for children has appeared in Appleseeds, Wee Ones, Spider, Guideposts4Kids and the KidSpace column of the Christian Science Monitor. She is also the Assistant Regional Advisor for the Netherland's chapter of the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
When she is not writing, Linda is a Media & Public Affairs Officer for a United Nations-affiliated organisation based in The Hague, The Netherlands. Linda is married and has a 13-year-old daughter, Maja, and currently lives in a one-windmill town nestled near the dunes.
